“Sharing is Caring” isn’t just a sweet phrase — it’s a message that has stood the test of time. The idea grew organically from a long tradition of generosity and community-minded values, but it gained national recognition in the 1950s through campaigns by the Salvation Army. By the 1970s and 1980s, it had become a cultural catchphrase — simple, memorable, and powerful — echoed everywhere from community outreach efforts to children’s programming like Barney.
At its heart, the phrase captures something timeless: when we share what we have — time, resources, kindness — we strengthen the bonds that hold communities together.
In Apache Shores we do our own version of “Sharing is Caring” … check out these photos.
